Product Family
DPX, vStor, and GuardMode form Catalogic's on-premises data protection suite. DPX handles backup and recovery, vStor is the ZFS-based repository it stores data in, and GuardMode adds ransomware detection on top — three products designed to work together as one solution.

View downloads →Software-defined backup storage built on ZFS, with compression, deduplication, immutable snapshots with deletion lock, encryption at rest and node-to-node asynchronous replication. Deploy on a physical server or as a virtual appliance in VMware or Hyper-V, using any block storage.
An added layer of early ransomware detection using blocklists of known ransomware patterns, entropy analysis, honeypot and decoy files, and write operations thresholds. Shows which files were affected and when, so you can restore only the affected data without rolling back a full snapshot.

Typefaces
We use Poppins for headings and Inter for body text. Both are free on Google Fonts.
Product Typeface
Inside DPX, vStor, and GuardMode, the UI uses Nunito — separate from the Poppins/Inter pairing used on marketing and brand materials.
Logo Typeface
The Catalogic, DPX, vStor, and GuardMode wordmarks are all based on Neuropol X Bold, modified for the logos. It belongs to the logos only — don't use it for headings, body text, or anything else.
Do
Always capitalize product names correctly
"DPX" is always all-caps. "vStor" starts with lowercase "v" then capital "S". "GuardMode" is one word with capital G and capital M. These apply everywhere: website, decks, documents, email.
Prefix with "DPX" on first external mention
Write "Catalogic DPX" on first mention of the full suite, then "DPX" afterward. Write "DPX vStor" and "DPX GuardMode" on first reference in customer-facing materials. After that, "vStor" and "GuardMode" alone are acceptable.
Use Blue (#2D3494) as the dominant brand color
Catalogic Blue is the primary color for all three products. Use it for headlines, navigation, and primary buttons. Green is an accent only.
Use white logos on dark or busy backgrounds
Over photography, dark UIs, or colored backgrounds, switch to the white version of each logo for readability.
Maintain clear space around each logo
Leave a clear area equal to the height of the "D" in "DPX" around all edges of any product logo.
Don't
Don't miscapitalize product names
"Dpx", "dpx", "Vstor", "VSTOR", "Guardmode", "GUARDMODE" are all incorrect. Follow the exact capitalization rules above.
Don't use green as a text color on white
Green (#8BBE41) on white does not meet WCAG AA contrast for body text. Use it only for icons, large display text, or decorative elements.
Don't stretch, rotate, or skew logos
Always scale proportionally. Use the provided SVG files which maintain correct aspect ratio.
Don't separate the icon from its wordmark
The DPX stacked-chevron icon, vStor disk icon, and GuardMode shield should only be used standalone when the product name is already established in context (e.g., app favicons).
